Foundation Award in Management Principles

The Foundation Award in Management Principles is awarded by ABP and endorsed by ABE. This qualification is not regulated by Ofqual. Centres wishing to run this programme should complete the Application form for more information.

ABP is working in collaboration with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) to provide centres with the opportunity to offer the Foundation Award in Management Principles. This exciting short course comprises of 45 guided learning hours and provides students with an understanding of the core principles of management.

All learners gain free studying membership of ILM for one year. This provides access to a wide range of online resources including reading lists, study guides, suggested websites for further research and other tailored resources to help participants complete their programme successfully.

ILM has produced two videos which support the qualification. Both ‘Teams that work’ and ‘A vision for change’ feature real life case studies that demonstrate how theory works in practice. Topics covered include team working, leadership and change management.

ILM Super Series 5, published by Elsevier, is text-based open learning material with easy to follow workbooks including case studies, activities and questions to support the learner.
